Lone Tree
One of Denver’s newest suburbs, the city of Lone Tree, Colorado was incorporated in 1995 and is home to 4,873 residents. This family-friendly city is located south of the Denver Technological Center and next to the Meridian and Inverness Business Park, just west of I-25 in Douglas County. With an average age of close to 37, the population of Lone Tree is young and well-educated with more than 64 percent of residents over age 25 having at least a bachelor’s degree.
Lone Tree is a popular location for busy executives who enjoy its close proximity to the city, but want the convenience of a smaller town. The neighborhoods of Lone Tree are upscale and include a gated golf community. The area contains primarily single-family homes, with about a third as many multi-family homes.
While small, the city of Lone Tree has many activities to offer its residents and visitors. With fine arts and culture at its core, the city is proud to offer special events including the Lone Tree Summer Concert Series, the Lone Tree Photography Show, and the Lone Tree Art Exhibit among others. For the shopping lover, Lone Tree brings the Park Meadows Mall to the area, one of the newest shopping complexes in the vicinity. The mall features store favorites like Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, and a nearby Krispy Kreme franchise.
Lone Tree has numerous activities to offer those who prefer the outdoors. Of special note is the city’s spectacular Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, a 45,000 square foot clubhouse with a variety of luxuries and amenities. Sweetwater Park, one of the area’s most beautiful parks, is a popular spot enjoyed year-round by residents and visitors alike.
Recent home sales in Lone Tree ranged from $185,000 to $1,699,000 with averages of 2,011 square feet and an average sales price of $395,675.
