The neighborhood of  Park Hill extends from Colorado Boulevard on the west to Quebec Street on the east and from East 29th Avenue south to Colfax Avenue. One of Denver’s most elegant neighborhoods, Park Hill is approximately 15 minutes from downtown and just west of the new Stapleton community development.

Designed as a streetcar suburb for wealthy Denver families, the area was platted in 1887 by Eugene A. Von Winkle. Montview Boulevard and Monaco Parkway are main thoroughfares in Park Hill and reveal the importance of parkways to Denver’s early city planners. Street trees were planted here as early as 1907 and today provide a ceremonial feeling and heavily shaded environment.

The neighborhood of Park Hill is primarily residential but there are several small commercial areas where restaurants, shops, and local businesses can be found. Many of the historic homes here are included in an annual tour that is sponsored by Park Hill’s nationally recognized neighborhood association. Founded in 1961, the Greater Park Hill Community, Inc. is an organization that provides its residents with numerous services and responds to neighborhood concerns about planning and safety.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Denver Zoo, and City Park are all within walking distance of Park Hill and provide many wonderful year-round educational resources. Residents of Park Hill also enjoy a great sense of living in a small community within a much larger urban setting.

Recent single family home sales in Park Hill ranged from $138,000 to $1,115,000 with averages of 1,417 square feet and an average sales price of $330,720.
